The Team

​LAnthropology began with the recognition that language and literacy are essential for personal and societal progress, and that our backgrounds shape who we are. â€‹Our mission is to promote language and literacy, helping people and communities thrive in society, understand their contribution to society, and embrace responsible citizenship. We also aim to support individual wellbeing, while valuing and preserving an individual's unique cultural heritage. We are proud to champion the preservation of culture, celebrate diversity, and honor the many languages spoken across the world.

Ridyansh

Founder & President

Ridyansh is a Junior in High School. He speaks English, Spanish, Hindi and is learning French. He is passionate about helping society through literacy and essential skills in areas such as personal wellbeing and civic life. At LAnthropology he plays multiple roles, including teaching every week. In his free time he enjoys tennis, reading, writing, composing/playing music, and connecting with people. â€‹

Shloak

Co-Founder Digital Programs

Shloak is a Freshman in High School. He speaks English, Spanish, French and Hindi. At LAnthropology, he is enabling literacy through devices, digital education, and, digital apps to help those who don't have the resources to learn. He also teaches at LAnthropology. In his free time he likes to build computers and read.

Cruz

Board Member, International Relations 

Cruz has a Masters in Forensic Linguistics, Bachelors in Applied Lingustics and is a Fullbright Scholar. She speaks Spanish, English and French. At LAnthropology, she serves on the board as the International Relations Manager. Her passion is language accessibility and mentoring. She is also learning coding in Python and is a TTRPG fan.

Yana

Fundraising Manager

Yana is a Sophmore at High School. She speaks English, Spanish and Gujrati. At LAnthropology, Yana likes to teach and fundraise. Yana is passionate about languages and enjoys learning new words and phrases in different languages. When she is not studying, she loves getting lost in a good book. She enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy novels.

Thiago

Outreach Manger

Thiago is a Junior in High School. He speaks English and Spanish. At LAnthropology, he is responsible for community outreach, and he also teaches. Thiago enjoys soccer, playing the drums, and fishing. For his career, Thiago is interested in pursuing science.

Purush

Curriculum Manager

Purush is a Junior in High School. He speaks English and Spanish. At LAnthropology, he is responsible for our teaching curriculum. His passion is in statistics and data. Specifically, he loves analytics of sports.

Jaden

Social Media Manager

Jaden is a Junior in High School. He speaks, EngIish, Spanish and Korean. At LAnthropology, he manages our social media and marketing efforts, and also teaches. He is a passionate student with interests in AI, engineering, and social impact. Some of his hobbies include playing the guitar as a part of multiple bands, and playing soccer competitively.

Vuk

Curriculum Developer

Vuk is a Junior in High School. He speaks English, Serbian and Spanish. At LAnthropology, he is responsible for developing our teaching curriculum. His passion is programming and engineering.

Aarna 

Partnership Coordinator

Aarna is a Freshman in High School. She speaks EngIish, Gujarati, and Spanish. At LAnthropology, she is responsible for partnership coordination. She enjoys playing the piano and learning new things. 

Dhilan

Educator

Dhilan is a Senior in High School. He speaks, EngIish and Spanish. At LAnthropology, he teaches. His enjoys technology, software and game development. His passion is medicine and healthcare.

Veronica

Educator

Veronica is a Freshman in High School. She is part of her school's Chemistry Olympiad and HOSA club. She loves science and math, speaks English and some Spanish. In her free time she likes to study origami and bugs and hopes to be a doctor in the future!
